Goals
Bridging resource disparities:
Addressing resource disparities across different industries in Syria is critical to accelerating the country’s recovery process. Gaps in access to funding, technology, education, and essential infrastructure hinder innovation and limit the opportunities of local talent. By bridging these major gaps, we empower entrepreneurs and industry leaders to collaborate, drive economic growth, and develop with sustainable solutions. This approach not only strengthens individual sectors but also creates a resilient, well-connected ecosystem that unites Syrians globally, accelerates Syria’s recovery, and paves the way for future generations to continue our work.
01
Creating tech jobs in Syria:
It is essential to empower Syria’s youth to lead a sustainable future for the country, and revitalize its economy. By leveraging the expertise of the Syrian diaspora and forging partnerships with local innovators, Syria’s tech sector can achieve self-sufficiency. Investment in the tech sector can provide high-impact opportunities for young talent, offering them the skills and resources needed to innovate in a rapidly evolving digital world. A thriving Syrian tech industry not only generates employment but also fosters entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth, creating a ripple effect that uplifts entire communities and helps create a resilient tech ecosystem in Syria.
02
Building a Hackathon:
A Hackathon will bring together diverse talents across different industries such as programmers, entrepreneurs, investors, designers, and subject-matter experts to tackle the most pressing challenges across Syria’s industries, from infrastructure and technology to healthcare, education, and economic development.
By connecting local partners with international mentors, resources, and potential investors, a hackathon will generate practical, technology-driven solutions tailored to Syria’s unique needs during each stage of the recovery process. Ultimately, a hackathon will cultivate a culture of critical thinking and effective collaboration. It will inspire a new generation of leaders, accelerate technological progress, and strengthen the foundation of Syria’s future.
03
Delivering high-impact training sessions:
After identifying the resource gaps, the SYNC team will design a series of high-impact training sessions across various industries in Syria. These sessions will address critical gaps in
expertise, technology, and best practices, empowering local partners to modernize key sectors such as healthcare, education, technology, and infrastructure. The outcomes of these sessions will be measurable, ensuring accountability and progress, and enabling participants to apply their learning to real-world challenges.
This approach will strengthen local partners, enhance workforce readiness. It will also lay the foundation for continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration, as well as opportunities for networking and mentorship. Fostering a culture of ongoing knowledge exchange will ensure a resilient, self-sustaining economy, accelerating Syria’s recovery and growth.
04
Provide sustainable funding:
Funding opportunities will be essential for Syria’s growth. Funding opportunities provide the resources and partnerships needed to address immediate needs and initiate long-term cooperation and development. Financial support fuels critical initiatives, such as infrastructure repair, economic revitalization, and social services, ensuring that essential systems are restored and supported.
Initiating solid partnerships and funding will enable the creation of scalable and sustainable solutions, while also fostering trust and cooperation among communities and sectors to create a prosperous future.
